Overview The Truck Service Mechanic will service, refurbish, and repair trucks, tanks, and equipment, following safety standards which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines. MFA Oil Company is an Equal Opportunity/Drug-Free Employer. Responsibilities
- Refurbish company truck tanks and service beds for installation on chassis.
- Prepare company vehicles for installation of tanks.
- Repair, rebuild, or replace pumps, meters, and registers on LP or refined trucks.
- Perform DOT and VK inspections on company vehicles.
- Perform PTO repairs on company vehicles.
- Service and maintain company equipment, including but not limited to repairing tools and machinery and performing regular, scheduled maintenance of company vehicles.
- Welding and fabrication work on vehicles, tanks, and service beds.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair trucks and equipment issues as assigned.
- Perform, or train to perform, annual and 5-year inspections on company equipment and sign off on any necessary related paperwork and forms.
- Deliver parts and vehicles to other MFA Oil Company locations as needed
- Clean and maintain equipment assigned to position.
- Operate in a safe manner at all times according to company safety procedures.
- Promptly communicate any issues related to safety or efficiencies to supervisor for both trucks and equipment.
- Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Ability to troubleshoot vehicle and equipment repair issues.
- Experience with and ability to use a wide range of automotive repair tools.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to pass in person training and MFA Oil Company Record of Road test requiring operation of both manual and automatic transmission vehicles within 120 days of employment
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions
- Ability and willingness to become propane (CETP) certified as determined by the state(s) served.
- Physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 100 pounds.
- Ability to spend 6-9 hours a shift standing and/or walking.
- Vision, hearing, speech, and ability to detect odors.
- Ability to work in an environment with possible contact with hazardous materials.
- Ability to drive and work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability and willingness to work scheduled overtime.
- Ability to travel periodically to other MFA Oil locations.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful background and MVR check, and drug test.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
- Three or more years of documentable and verifiable experience in performing regulatory testing.
- Training and/or experience in truck maintenance.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker, HAZMAT, and air brake endorsements within the first 120 days of employment, and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements per the vehicle requirements
