Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to a team of attorneys
- Draft and prepare legal documents
- Assist attorneys with trust and estate planning documents and transactions
- Conduct legal research
- Manage and maintain client files electronically and in hard copy, ensuring all documents are readily accessible and organized.
- Prepare and manage attorney timekeeping, billing, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm policies.
- Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals
- Perform other legal and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant in trust and estate planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with legal research databases a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
