Job DescriptionJob Title: Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney Location: Norwich, CT Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with expertise in representing clients in disputes involving trusts, estates, probate matters. This role involves both litigation and advisory work, helping clients navigate complex legal issues related to T&E duties and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on probate, estate planning, and trust administration
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances as needed
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to develop and execute litigation strategies
- Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in CT
- 2+ years of trust & estates litigation experience
- In-depth knowledge of probate, trusts, and estate law
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases and clients simultaneously
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with estate planning and administration
- Mediation and arbitration experience
- Strong interpersonal skills for building client relationships
