Job Type Full-timeDescriptionTitle : Attorney Practice Group(s) : Primarily Trusts & Estates, and Real Estate Location : Cortland, NY Reports to : Practice Group Leader FLSA Status : Exempt Pay Range : $90,000 - $150,000/ YearCoughlin & Gerhart, LLP is seeking a full-time NYS admitted Attorney with 3 or more years of experience in Trust & Estates and Real Estate.   • Represent the firm's client in estate planning process.
  • Draft various estate planning and trust administration documents.
  • Assist clients with trust funding and advise accordingly.
  • Understanding of the Orphan's Court process including court filings.
  • Manage trust and probate administration case matter and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and research skills.
  • Provides sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Real Estate RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Represent the firm's client in purchases and sales of properties.
  • Review real estate documentation and advice clients accordingly.
  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for real estate transactions.
  • Draft various real estate documents during the transaction process.
  • Title insurance underwriting, curative and claims.
  • Analytical and research skills.
  • Provides sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
