SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:Assist with the overall management and coordination of all activities performed by the Trust Operations Division. Position requires critical thinking and ability to communicate findings professionally to colleagues, their supervisor, and senior management.The position is likely to be involved in highly sensitive situations and is expected to demonstrate strict confidentiality. Position is expected to maintain a robust understanding of fiduciary Trust activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Oversee the daily balancing/reconciling of the main trust accounting system to the primary DDA, and assist with the resolution of complex problems which affect the accounting for or the reconciling of Trust Division assets.2. Review and reconcile the clearing accounts necessary to run the trust accounting system.3. Assist management with activities in accordance with the Labor Agreement and Bank policies.4. Assist the Operations Division to establish and maintain efficient systems and safeguards to ensure operational compliance and control.5. Periodically review the day-to-day work of the operations division to ensure that no quality problems exist which require management's immediate attention and assist with implementing any necessary corrective actions.6. Maintain automated accounting systems and use computer resources to generate periodic reports and statements.7. Ensure that all Trust operations personnel receive sufficient training related to the efficient use of the trust accounting system.Also responsible for identifying the training needs for Operations personnel.8. Responsible to implement, review and enforce new and existing policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with pertinent regulations.9. Assist with the implementation of special projects within the Wealth Management Division.10. This includes (2) Trust Clerks.WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is frequently required to: 1) Type or otherwise work with fingers; 2) Talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers or clients accurately, loudly, or quickly; 3) Hearing - perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with/without correction.Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make the discriminations in sound. 4) Specific vision abilities required by this job include: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading along with travel as required.Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds.This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.
