A client of Insight Global is looking for a Top Secret Linux Admin to be on site in Schenectady, NY. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining RedHat Linux systems, ensuring their optimal performance and security. Your daily tasks will include system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. You will also be involved in scripting and automation to streamline operations, as well as supporting the development of security authorization packages in compliance with NIST standards. Collaboration with other IT teams to implement and maintain infrastructure security measures will be a key part of your role$33/hr to $46/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & ExperienceBachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Active Top Secret Clearance. At least five years of cumulative experience with RedHat Linux, VMware, and OpenShift. At least two years of experience supporting the development of information system security authorization packages in accordance with Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-37, 800-53, 800-53a). Strong understanding of system security principles and experience with NIST 800-53 compliance. Proficient in system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python). Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceAt least three years of experience with Cloudera Data Platforms (CDP). At least one year of experience with Denodo data virtualization. At least one year of experience with Neo4j development and administration or other graph database technologies. At least one year of experience with LakeFS, RedHat OpenShift AI, or other data versioning and MLOps tools. Knowledge of infrastructure security, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.
