POSITION SUMMARYThe Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) Technician will support the National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Technical Security Program with technical security at the national laboratories as it relates to technical surveillance countermeasures activities. This full-time position is available for the right candidate.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe TSCM Technician will perform sensitive measurements and surveys of equipment and conduct evaluations at the national laboratory. Essential duties will include the following:
- Operate and maintain sensitive measurement and survey equipment.
- Plan and execute Technical Security evaluations and service IAW DOE Order 470.6, SPB Procedural Guides 1, 2, & 3, and DOE/NNSA policy, within prescribed time-frames.
- Prepare thorough and clear classified written reports which comprehensively detail evaluation procedures and technical findings.
- Respond to Technical Security discoveries IAW national, DOE, and NNSA policies. Provide Technical Threat Briefings, analytical reports, and products to senior-level officials.
- All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Current DOE Q or DOD Top Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum 9 years experience, with at least 4 years of performing instrumented TSCM services
- Graduate of Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Fundamentals Course
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Bachelor's Degree in management, business, criminal justice, security or a related field
- Current DOE Q Security Clearance
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and Sec+
- TSCM Experience with DOE/NNSA or any of the national laboratories
