About the job Tube Laser Operator - 2nd Shift - Direct Hire Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tube Laser Operator to join our team! In addition to performing laser operation, this individual will ensure jobs are set-up to meet MPCD/customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Understands and follows all applicable safety policies and procedures.
- With Manufacturing Supervisor, schedule daily/weekly workload.
- Download part program into machine controller.
- Ability to perform adjustments of the tube laser to remedy slag, burn through, burrs, and un-desirable conditions.
- Utilizes hand instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gage) to perform first piece/blue tag inspections.
- Obtains inspection approval for each job.
- Works with Engineering to resolve problems and production issues.
- Train new Associates on equipment operation, department processes and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic errors with the operation of the tube laser.
- May be required to work/assist Maintenance with issues outside of basic errors/issues.
- Ability to successfully load material and record production in Plex.
Qualifications:Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One year certificate from college or technical school preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- 2-3 years related experience or training.
Hours:
- 2nd Shift: 2:00pm-11:30PM
- Full Time - 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
