Position Title: Snow Tubing Attendant Level 1 Department: Mountain Park Reports To: Mountain Park Manager Status: Part-time or Full-time Seasonal, Hourly (Non-Exempt) Working Hours: Varied hours/shifts, fluctuates with time of season, weekends and holidays typical Wage: $17.25 per hour Benefits: Maryland Accrued Sick time/401k/Recreational Privileges Position Summary: Responsible for physical operation of the snow tubing park during operating hours. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform other duties outside of the job description. Also, hours of operation are 24/7 including weekends and holidays. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Level 1 - NE01 • Completes all preoperational inspections. • Completes daily operating log at opening and at closing. • Attends 'Carpet' area by assisting with opening/closing procedures, i.e., pulling/putting away snow tubes, set up/clean up lanes, removing snow from deck/carpet, etc. Completes opening/closing procedures for conveyor belt, checks height requirements/tickets, assists guest on/off conveyor belt, ensures guests are riding properly on the conveyor belt and adjusts speed when necessary for line control. • Attends 'Top Lane' area by assisting with opening/closing procedures, i.e., pulling/putting away snow tubes, set up/clean up lanes, testing lanes, removing snow from deck/carpet, etc. Informs guests of proper procedure for holding onto tube handles, number of people per tube, appropriate riding position, etc. Controls line up of guests waiting to use tubing lane. Ensures all tubers are cleared from tubing lane before next tube proceeds down the hill, and instructs tubers when they can begin their run. • Attends 'Bottom Lane' area by assisting with opening/closing procedures, i.e. pulling/putting away snow tubes, set up/clean up lanes, removing snow from deck/carpet, etc. Assists tubers in order to properly clear lane, instructs guests of proper stopping and monitors the number of tubes each session. • Performs janitorial tasks whenever needed to maintain the arena in a neat and respectable condition at all times. • Exhibits ability to be guest service oriented and to communicate well and confidently with the public. • Exhibits ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions, learn basic procedures and techniques and perform repetitive routine tasks, and work both independently and in a team environment. Qualifications: Successful execution of this job requires an individual to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Education and/or Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent, unless company sees capability without minimum education requirement • Must be at least 18 years of age to operate 'Carpet'.
