Job Description:
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: All positions in housekeeping, front desk, engineering External: Guests TURNDOWN ATTENDANT SUMMARY: Our successful Shore Lodge turndown attendants are independent thinkers who enter our guests' rooms in the evening, they set the tone for a relaxing night, closing curtains, setting the music, and other turndown services with the primary goal of creating lifetime experiences for our guests. They respond promptly to customer needs and may solicit customer feedback to improve service. WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
  • Provide turn down service by turning back the bedspread, replenishing amenities, linens, and supplies and filling ice bucket as requested by guest.
  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance of room.
  • Close drapes, tune radio to jazz station, set the lighting for an evening experience
  • Wipe down tub and sink area.
  • Strip and make beds, change linens.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms and face them appropriately.
  • Empty trash.
  • Communicate with engineering any maintenance needs.
  • Monitor and maintain all public areas, including event outlets.
  • Laundry services.
  • Return all lost and found articles in to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Attend periodic staff meeting with other department heads to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operations.
  • Exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone's efforts to succeed.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work to ensure quality.
  • Follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments; complete tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, property owners, homeowners, club members and fellow employees responding in a timely manner to all requests.
Requirements WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Oral and written comprehension and expression
  • Ability to follow instructions and functionally multitask while maintaining a high degree or organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and receive information from guests and coworkers
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Previous work experience in housekeeping is preferred
