Job Type Part-timeDescriptionFLSA STATUS: Hourly / Overtime EligibleLOCATION: Charter School Main CampusPRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for providing educational assistance and support to students in the after school program.PRIMARY DUTIES:Legend: E = Essential NE = Non-Essential N/A = Not Applicable1. Provide individual and small group tutoring to assist with homework completion. E 2. With input from classroom teachers, help students better understand concepts and processes taught in academic classes (language arts, social science, math and science). Provide organizational support and general guidance to build and maintain student success. E 3. With training and administrative guidance, work closely with the afterschool team to establish PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) practices across all school settings (classrooms cafeteria, gym and playground). E 4. Create an engaging, dynamic learning environment. E 5. Maintain attendance records and student information such as individualized tutoring logs and session reports as requested. E 6. Supervise and assist students during afterschool meal and throughout transitions to afterschool activities. E 7. Keep a safe, clean, and well-organized environment. E 8. Attend meetings and access professional development resources as requested. E 9. Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all administrators, teachers, co-workers and parents. E 10. Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E 11. Perform other related duties as assigned. NE 12. Be a team player! Minimal infrequent local travel.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

18 years of age required.

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree (Highly preferred).

One (1) year experience working with children and families.

Bilingual (Spanish and English), spoken and written. (Highly preferred)

Orderly, dependable person with great organizational skills.

Must be a People Person with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.

Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal

Must pass all background checks.
