This position is not more than 17.5 hours per weekCompensation: $30/hr.JOB SUMMARY This position provides part-time direct supplemental instruction in the area of reading to eligible identified students in grades K-5.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows identified instructional methods as outlined in the approved Title I Grant Application and school's Title I plan to teach small-group literacy lessons to identified students.
- Works under the direct supervision of a Title I teacher within the school setting and/or the indirect supervision of the Title I Coordinator, Title I Literacy Coach, Principal and Assistant Principal, and lead Title teacher(s) of a Title I school as needed.
- Works the identified Part-time hours as identified by the Title I Coordinator and/or the Title I teachers or administrators in the school setting.
- Maintains the necessary lesson records, entry/exit data, and progress monitoring records and provides those to Title I Teachers or the Title I Coordinator, when requested.
- Participates in and successfully completes any provided training for the purpose of delivering supplemental reading instruction with fidelity to the identified methods and programs.
- Is able to provide a summation of student needs, instructional goals, and progress to the Title I team in order to report to parents or other school faculty and administration.
- Maintains a pleasant attitude, exhibits tactful and courteous behavior towards co-workers, students, parents, and visitors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)
- Completed at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education or obtained an associate degree or higher.
- Ability to communicate through clear and grammatically proper speech and basic writing and computing skills.
- Knowledge of educational instructional practice and teaching methods.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard document formats and specific document formats used in assigned area.
- Safeguards all student and teacher information against unauthorized use or access.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to plan and manage assigned functions.
- Proficiency, in use of word processing software as exhibited by use of all program functions routinely used in the lesson planning; possesses keyboarding skills with which to produce accurate work in a timely and efficient manner, and ability to learn to use various software programs for instructional use or assessments, as needed.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Exhibits a professional attitude and good communications skills to deal with members of the general public in a pleasant and effective manner both on the telephone and in person.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None SUPERVISION RECEIVED Performs duties under the supervision of the Title I Coordinator, Title I Literacy Coach, and the supervision of building Title I Teachers and Administrators. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Duties are normally performed in a school or classroom setting as designated by the school administration or Title I Staff. Ability to sit; stoop or kneel; crouch. Periodically works under pressure to ensure correct data reports, lesson records, progress monitoring information, or parent reporting information is provided to Title I Staff to meet firm deadlines.
