This is a unique opportunity to join a community of passionate teachers and to contribute to the education of local youth. In this role you will:
- Work with students in a one-to-one setting (primarily in person)
- Use executive function coaching to:
- Help students with organization, time management, prioritization, planning, and task initiation
- Work with students on changing perspective, improving motivation and overall effectiveness
- Teach students how to advocate for themselves and become problem solvers
- Keep a Flexible schedule: We work with most of our clients in the 2-9pm window on weekdays and anytime on weekends.
- Competitive Rate based on credentials/experience: $30 - $40 per hour
- Receive professional development and training by BrainStorm senior team members
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field (i.e. psychology, social work, counseling, etc.)
- Special Education experience a must!
- Certification in Reading or Special Education highly preferred
- Phonics training or a background in multisensory techniques is highly preferred
- Math/ELA tutoring and/or SAT/ACT Test Prep experience is a plus!
- Experience in executive function coaching or training is a plus!
- Ability to work in person and have reliable transportation
