Location: Lubbock,TX, USA
The Day Program DSP will assist the ISS Supervisor/Manager with individual care at the facility based on the policies, procedures, and quality of service required.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Directs personal assistance with daily living activities of individuals (grooming, eating, and personal hygiene)
* Reinforces counseling and therapy activities as directed by Supervisor.
* Ensures the health and safety of all individuals by identifying and correcting safety hazards
* Provides assistance with medications and performs tasks delegated by a Registered Nurse
* Documents incidents involving individuals at the facility
* Provides daily reports to the Supervisor that outline accomplishments and objectives met daily
* Creates and maintains an atmosphere conducive to the habilitation of the individuals served
* Responsible for cleanliness of facility including cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, sitting rooms and kitchen
* Maintains regular attendance and timeliness in duties
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
* Good communication skills
* Knowledge of the HCS and MRLA programs
* Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid Texas Driver's License
* Minimum of 1 year with individuals with developmental disabilities
