Work involves disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, and performing internal administrative support work. May work with confidential correspondence and communications. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides administrative support in the Enforcement Division and maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of supervisors and staff.
- Provides customer assistance answering phone calls, routing incoming calls, taking messages, and answering limited case status or system process related questions.
- Inputs data and generates system letters and documents to complete first level steps in preparation for Investigation or Litigation.
- Edits correspondence for proper format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, content, and clarity.
- Receives, sorts, opens, evaluates content, logs and distributes incoming mail, email and digital faxes as required may drive to deliver/pick up confidential or time sensitive correspondence.
- Enters and retrieves data into the case processing system to create or update case records and documents including recording payments submitted by phone.
- Trains and assists others with the use of the case processing database to create research and update work items.
- Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule.
- This position must be able to report to TxDMV Austin headquarters as required.
- May travel 5% of the time. May include overnight travel. Travels by plane and/or car.
- May require working extended hours and some evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of responsible clerical, secretarial, or administrative support and expertise in Word, Adobe and Excel Software.
- Education may substitute for experience. (Experience requirements may be satisfied by full-time experience or the prorated part-time equivalent.)
