In an amazingly fun and energetic office, a Typologist, Typesetter, Graphic Design and layout position is needed for a small classical record label.MARK CUSTOM RECORDING SERVICE INC., in Clarence, NY is a small family-owned classical record label, recording studio and audio/video manufacturing company with an international reputation for high quality audio/video recordings, production and service. We are looking for an energetic in-person (Monday-Friday 9AM to 5PM), Full Time Typesetter / Graphic Design - Layout Artist, for immediate hire, to join our team.We are MacIntosh computer based. Applicant must be proficient in InDesign, (Adobe Creative Suite programs such as InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office applications.Applicant must have the ability to perform layout and design for CDs, DVDs, forms, ads, posters, flyers, and all aspects of art design for the music industry. Proofing, preflight, troubleshooting and preparing jobs for offset press printing and in-house print, cutting and scoring is required, and can be taught. Knowledge and experience in web application, CSS and HTML is helpful. A classical music background is a major plus.Strong communication and customer service skills are necessary as you will be in contact with clients and vendors to coordinate project details and delivery through email and verbally.Candidate must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. Must be production-oriented with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, having a high attention to detail and follow-through.A minimum of 2 years of full-time graphic/pre-press production experience is required. However, based on your in-person interview, we may accept a lesser experienced person.
