Role Summary:
We are seeking a Visual Marketing / UX Designer with a strong balance of both UX and UI skills, an emphasis on print marketing, and extensive experience in data visualization and infographics. This designer will work on both digital and print projects, primarily for financial data representations like pie charts, bar graphs, and infographics. The candidate must be based in LA and available to work on-site part-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Execution: Lead design projects with a focus on print and digital marketing, creating cohesive visuals and storytelling assets for financial data.
- Data Visualization: Use data-driven storytelling to design clear, engaging infographics, charts, and other visual content, especially showcasing financial information.
- Client Interaction: Present and communicate design concepts effectively, adapting storytelling approaches for diverse audiences.
- Production Adjustments: Perform necessary tweaks on design assets from other designers, including resizing images, adjusting colors, and ensuring layout accuracy for various formats, such as print, digital, and social media.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of design experience, preferably within recognized creative or marketing agencies in NYC or Austin.
- Design Skills: Proficiency in both UX and UI design, with significant experience in print and digital media. A portfolio showcasing diverse industries is preferred, with an emphasis on financial data visualization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in pivot tables in Excel, and skilled in using design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Communication: Excellent client-facing skills, with an ability to tell compelling stories through design.
- Additional Assets: Prior experience in the financial industry is a plus but not required. Candidates must be open to production-level work and adjusting existing design assets as part of the role.
