Overview:

UF Health Leesburg Hospital also offers advanced orthopedic surgery, stroke care, emergency services as well as labor and delivery care.

Responsibilities:

As an Ultrasound Tech Intern, you would prepare patients and collect relevant information for completion of procedures. You will perform general ultrasound procedures with technologist supervision. You will be observant of patients' conditions. Practice radiation safety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy. Understand and operate electronic information systems, and compile appropriate records to expedite results. Complete ultrasounds within the department, in the OR, and throughout the hospital with supervisor. Provides documentation of competency exam.

Qualifications:

Education: - Currently enrolled in an accredited school of Sonography or recent graduate who is registry eligible. Must have completed first year of training in Ultrasound Program.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: - BLS within 30 days of hire

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
