Role Title: Ultrasound Technician (Sonographer)Location: Tia SoHo (440 Broome St 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10013) and Tia Williamsburg (62 N 3rd St, Brooklyn, NY 11249)Schedule: 24hrs/week, 1-2 Saturdays/monthMonday/Tuesday: 8am - 4:30pm ESTThursday: 11am - 7:30pm ESTRotating Saturdays: 8am - 4:30pm EST Compensation: $40-$48/hrStatus: Full-Time (5x8's or 4x10's)About the Role: We're looking for a Full-Time (40 hours/week) Ultrasound Technologist passionate about women's health for Tia's SoHo clinical team. As Tia Women's Health ultrasound technologist you'll be a key component of our care delivery system. You will be responsible for performing scans, effectively managing our patient tracking system, ensuring appropriate scan documentation and patient follow up, and working closely with our clinicians.Requirements: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).Abdomen and Transvaginal certified required Minimum of 4-6 months of independent experience in performing scans with high diagnostic quality.Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as pathology related to diagnostic imaging.Proficiency in operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment. Experience with GE voluson series is preferred.Proficient in OB 1st trimester, GYN transvaginal, Abdomen and Small Parts (Thyroid and Soft Tissue) Graduation for an accredited school of UltrasonographyValues:Integrity and confidence in your practiceHolistic women's careBody literacyBe compassionateBe driven to achieve excellenceMake the implicit explicitAbilities: Understands needs of gynecologic patient care, and can effectively translate between symptomology + hypothesis detected by provider and what to research in the scanHighly organized and process driven to ensure no drops or losses on the patient processDetail orientedA trained eye to identify abnormalities and effectively leverage both the ordering provider and the radiologistDeliver excellent scans while be highly compassionate for the patient's experienceUnderstand the nuances of the billing structure of ultrasound, and effectively deliver service within this systemBe Clear, concise in communication regarding process and patient careKnow when to escalate to provider regarding results or other findingsAbility to closely partner with providers to help drive the holistic understanding of the patient's case forwardSkills:Excellent scanning skillsPACs systemSystem of communication with tele-radiologstMaintaining ultrasound machineResponsibilities: Perform scans with confidence of craft on patients that are referred from physicians for both cursory and comprehensive scansdemonstrate compassion for the patient's comfort with drive to deliver excellence. Efficiently and effectively manage an organized patient tracking system to ensure that each patient needing a scan is followed up on appropriatelyManage the relationship with the radiologist with high integrity, ensuring excellent clinical outcomesAppropriately note all comprehensive scans, and send to radiologist for review. Ensure that radiologist review is returned to provider, and provider integrates the results. Work with the radiologist when a deeper review is neededEnsure documentation of scans is excellent, defining what was scanned.
