Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionAMERICAN HEALTH ASSOCIATES, INC. has partnered with the finest digital imaging manufacturers to provide our team with the state of art imaging equipment and technology needed to furnish imaging services to our valued patients! It is our goal to exude warmth and caring as we meet and greet patients, family, and visitors throughout each day. In this role, you will provide mobile diagnostic imaging services to patients residing in nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and homecare. Company vehicles are provided to our mobile imaging team!THE ROLE: ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST - SIGN ON BONUS: $10,000 Responsibilities•Sonographers arrive at a patient's location in fully equipped company vehicles.•Unloads portable ultrasound equipment and transports it to patient's bedside.•Obtains clinically diagnostic, technically competent ultrasound images.•Uses proper patient identification and safety procedures to protect themselves and others.•Must act with initiative and responsibility to achieve maximum imaging quality.•Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.•Assist and instruct patients during examinations.. Complete and transmit ultrasound tech sheets to interpreting radiologists.•Transmits images to interpreting radiologists or cardiologists for result. Ensure that images are labeled properly and of good quality.•Participates in quality control and quality assurance.•Reports equipment failures and/or malfunctions to supervisor.•Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.•Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies, and drug reactions according to QA policies.•Sonographers arrive at a patient's location in fully equipped company vehicles.•Unload portable ultrasound equipment and transport equipment to patient's bedside.•Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent ultrasound images.•Use proper patient identification and safety procedures to protect themselves and others.•Must act with initiative and responsibility to achieve maximum imaging quality.•Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.•Transmits images to interpreting radiologists or cardiologists for result. Ensure that images are labeled properly and of good quality.Requirements•Valid state-issued Driver License; must be at least 21 years old.•Registry in good standing issued by ARDMS.•State Ultrasound License if required by state.•One year of experience, preferred - New Grads Welcome! •Maintain CEU's as required by state regulations.•Must successfully pass a background check screening.•Valid state-issued Driver License in good standing.•Proficiency with technology (computers, mobile devices, etc.).•Possess excellent communication skills.•Ability to display common sense and good judgement in following rules, protocols, policies, and procedures.Physical Requirements•Prolonged periods standing, reaching, and bending.•Must be able to push and pull minimum of 50 pounds.•Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of imaging examinations.•Annual physical required by CMS regulations.Take the next step in your healthcare career and join our Mobile Imaging Team!
