We are looking for Ultrasound Technologist in Queens NY to join our team.

About the Role - We are looking for individual to join our client's team as a Registered Ultrasound Tech specializing in Vascular imaging, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring vascular conditions using advanced ultrasound technology. You will be responsible for performing non-invasive imaging procedures to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities in veins and arteries.

Responsibilities

  • Selects appropriate software and imaging parameters, when positioning and adjusting equipment to encompass the area to be studied and produce optimal diagnostic imaging quality.
  • Performs more advanced ultrasound procedures on patients. Deviates from the normal ultrasound examination to complete the procedure, when necessary.
  • Assists physicians and other health care personnel by providing information regarding the nature, scheduling or results of procedures performed within the Ultrasound Department.
  • Assists in the development of new tests by performing comparison studies and clinical trials and implements these new procedures.
  • May plan, schedule, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the department to ensure the continuous flow of work.
  • Participates in the development of quality control and quality assurance procedures and instructs other appropriate technical personnel on aspects of their routine use.
  • Conducts training programs in ultrasonography and monitors effectiveness of programs.
  • Effectively uses electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and access pertinent patient data and imaging results; keeps other detailed and accurate patient records and results.
  • Participates in departmental meetings, internal/external quality assurance/performance improvement (QA/PI) activities and training, as required.
  • Performs the work of the Ultrasound Technologist and other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree Required: Associate degree (Community College, MBO)
  • Registered Diagnostics Medical Sonographer (RDMS) issued by American Registry for Diagnostic Medicine for Sonographers (ARDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required.
  • BLS preferred.

Required Skills

  • 1-year Registered experience in all noninvasive vascular ultrasound.
  • Experienced in vascular studies for arterial and venous testing

Pay range and compensation package - Pay starts at 55/hr
