Ultrasound Technologist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team located in Shelby, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with medical staff to provide accurate and timely imaging results. This role requires proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment, verifying patient orders, and assisting in invasive procedures when necessary. The Ultrasound Technologist will also contribute to maintaining departmental standards for equipment and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound exams in accordance with established protocols.
- Verify orders and examine patient requests.
- Assist Radiologists in the performance of procedures.
- Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to obtain high-quality images.
- Maintain patient safety and provide compassionate care.
- Ensure equipment functionality and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to departmental policies, standards, and patient-centered care philosophy.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound program or a relevant degree in Medical Sonography.
- Certification: ARDMS or ARRT (S) required.
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent patient care skills.
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and perform routine maintenance.
