The Chemistry Department seeks an Undergraduate Program Specialist (UPS) to enhance the academic experience for Chemistry undergraduates. This role involves managing course logistics, coordinating mentorship, organizing events, and supporting career services. The UPS will work closely with faculty, students, and alumni to foster academic success and professional development.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee course scheduling, enrollments, and student accommodations
- Facilitate mentorship pairings and guidance sessions for majors Coordinate key events like Commencement, recruitment activities, and student fairs
- Conduct program assessments and gather student feedback for improvement
- Develop alumni connections and organize career-focused workshops
- Serve as Course Coordinator for the Freshman Seminar CH195
Required Skills
- B.A./B.S. degree.
- 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting.
