Title: Undergraduate Research AssistantEmployee Classification: Student Help RegularDivision Name: Academic AffairsDepartment: Geography, Geology, and the EnvironmentJob SummaryThis is a student employee position for the Department of Geography, Geology, and the Environment, located in Felmley Hall.Undergraduate Research Assistants are hired by faculty to assist in carrying out a particular research agenda.As an undergraduate research assistant, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:Research and collect material or data, library research, lab work, field work, or other project specific methodology.Self-motivation to complete tasks and make significant progress without direct supervision.Analytical and problem-solving skills.The ability to learn new software and research techniques.The ability to commit to complex projects.Reports on status of research activities to supervising faculty.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong computer skills.Performs other related duties as required.Pay Rate$14.00/hourPreferred QualificationsCompleted coursework in the department.Work HoursWork hours will be determined by the faculty member.Proposed Starting DateTo be determined by the faculty member.Required Applicant DocumentsWork AvailabilityPlease Note: These documents are required to be submitted online in order to complete the application process.
