This Vision is brought to life by our Values - Care, Respect, Integrity, Performance and Teamwork - which put our people, host communities, the environment and our stakeholders at the forefront of our decision-making.OGC VALUES: CARE | RESPECT | INTEGRITY | PERFORMANCE | TEAMWORKOceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will repair and maintain associated plant equipment for the mill in line with achieving our performance objectives.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair AC & DC circuits and control equipmentTroubleshoot and repair single phase motors and three phase electrical systemsTroubleshoot various input elements of control loop, including pressure, temperature, density, mass and flow measurement devicesTroubleshoot various final control elements of control loop, including discrete and continuous devicesTune operation of control loopsPerform PLC troubleshooting and correctionUse of Megger, Multi Meter, Rotation Meter, Power Quality MeterTroubleshoot Guided Wave and Non-Contacting RadarTroubleshoot and repair VFDTroubleshoot and Maintain Soft Starts as well as Across the LineAble to use proper PPE, Arc Flash protection and FR rated clothingFamiliarity of conveyor belts and their componentsAble to work on voltages up to 24.9K DCOther duties as required.QualificationsOn-the-job experience and vocational trainingMust adhere to the OceanaGold Code of ConductWork may be conducted in outdoor settings including active mine areas and may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles.Employees are regularly required to stand, sit, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, possess manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see while performing their duties.Employee may be required to operate common vehicles and small 4x4 roving vehicles in off-road and adverse weather conditions.Appropriate personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor setting, manufacturing, or plant environment and may include a hard hat, single or double hearing protection, safety glasses, hard-toed footwear, respirator, protective clothing, gloves, and/or other protective equipment.HGM promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment including both mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.Familiarization with NFPA 70E and the NECAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsAdditional InformationExcellent problem-solving skills with complex problems, including both definition of the problem and generation and evaluation of solutions.Excellent planning and organizational skills, including goal setting, group performance monitoring and the ability to modify priorities where necessary to achieve these goals.The ability to decide from a range of competing options where the outcomes are not entirely predictable.Effective written and oral communication skills, and the ability to convince others to co-operate and contribute.Job DetailsFull time position working in the stable gold mining industry.Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, 401K, and more.Monthly paid training available and professional development.Supportive work environment with a focus on safety and teamwork.Great residential location, close to Charlotte SC, and is located between the mountains and the sea.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.Must be able to work shift work with 12 hour shifts.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
