Job DescriptionJob Summary As a Union Payment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and administering union contribution payments, ensuring compliance with union agreements, and maintaining accurate records. Your expertise will help ensure precise monthly union payments and effective resolution of any payment issues, contributing to our company's success. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPayment Processing:
  • Accurately process union contribution payments, including dues, fees, and other payments, ensuring timely and correct transactions.
  • Manage invoicing and maintain payment records for financial accuracy.
Record Keeping:
  • Maintain detailed records of union member payments and account statuses.
  • Utilize software for tracking and reporting payment histories.
Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with union regulations and labor laws.
  • Support audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Member Support:
  • Act as the primary contact for union members with payment-related inquiries.
  • Resolve issues and provide assistance with membership fees.
Reporting and Collaboration:
  • Generate reports on contribution collection and financial status for union leadership.
  • Work with union leaders and financial departments to address discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with external financial institutions as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute union payments, acting as liaison with Payroll admins and accounts payable.
  • Reconcile union accruals, facilitate internal and union communication, and maintain documentation.
  • Assist with creating monthly models, support union audits, and other assigned duties.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in payment processing or accounting, ideally with union contribution processing is REQUIRED
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with union representatives.
  • Knowledge of union compliance, labor laws, and financial reporting.
  • Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage large data volumes.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
