Unit Administrator 1Requisition IDreq30289Working TitleUnit Administrator 1Position Grade11Position SummaryThe Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Under general supervision, the Unit Administrator will provide a variety of administrative oversight and financial support to the Center for Development and Disability, Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities Division (AODD). The Unit Administrator will provide fiscal management of a complex and large set of budgets. The primary responsibilities include reconciling utilizing UNM's Banner and MyReports, generating and maintaining fiscal reports to analyze revenue and expense trends. The individual will have responsibility over fee for service billing for school contracts within the state, as well as for Region IX, Havasupai & CYFD among other contracts depending on the needs of the division. This includes gathering the deliverables from staff across the Division in order to prepare monthly invoices. The AODD Division manages in between 15 to 17 different indices every fiscal year and many of them has unique reporting and billing processes. The Unit Administrator will assist with new proposal and continuation of budget preparation in collaboration with CDD's Accounting Dept. The individual will oversee PO and contract agreements including creation of POs, liaison with UNM Purchasing staff, and maintaining PO balances. The Unit Administrator will support development of division level fiscal procedures per UNM/CDD policies, oversight of equipment inventory, cell phone and computer troubleshooting, and purchasing supplies with a UNM Pcard while working closely with the division's leadership team. The Unit Administrator will also support development of administrative procedures and staff productivity procedures in conjunction with the leadership team and CDD human resources, and will provide supervision of staff and/or student employees. The successful candidate will be service oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to:

- function as a full team member with managers, supervisors and other administrative staff, internal and external entities;
- be flexible while staying professional and positive in a changing environment;
- provide knowledge and resources pertaining to fiscal/administrative UNM policies and procedures;
- oversee and manage staff.

Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED;at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 1 year of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Preferred Qualifications**Be sure to address our preferred qualifications listed below in your cover letter** Experience
