Long-term Care Unit Aide Opportunity!

  • Working under the direction and supervision of the Charge and Staff Nurses, the Certified Nurse's Aides, and Activity Director a Unit Aide will assist the residents to assure safety, comfort, and activities. The Unit Aide does not provide personal care but follows the nurse's instructions to keep the residents safe and entertained. A Unit Aide observes and reports changes in the resident's physical, mental and social status to nurses to ensure the well-being of the resident along with keeping the resident busy with activities.

Your Job:

  • Responsible to the Charge Nurse or his/her designee.
  • Responsible to Activity Director
  • Interrelationships: works effectively and maintains cooperative working relationships with members of the healthcare team, nursing staff, residents and family.
  • Assists residents to activities
  • Passes Ice water
  • Answers call lights

Who You Are:

  • One year of job-related experience, preferably in long-term care (Have other qualifying experience? We want to hear from you!)
  • Motivated and organized team-player
  • Must enjoy working with seniors
  • A professional team player with a commitment of maintaining a reliable shift history
  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on providing genuine hometown care
