We are seeking a Unit Assistant to assist our nursing staff in the daily operations of our facility. This is a non-clinical role that focuses on maintaining a clean and organized environment on the units and providing essential support to staff and residents. This position is ideal for individuals committed to pursuing a career as a Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Responsibilities
- Maintain nursing units and resident rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Restock resident rooms and assist with linen changes, clothing inventories, and laundry tasks.
- Clean and organize common areas, such as tub and shower rooms.
- Assist in transporting residents to and from programming.
- Serve as a backup receptionist after training.
- Complete mandatory in-service training and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Committed to completing a Massachusetts nursing assistant program and obtaining certification as a Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
