NURSING UNIT ASSISTANT/ CNA TRAINING

Health and Human Services Department - Barron Center

Full-Time positions available -

The Barron Center, where kindness matters, has an opportunity to join a truly excellent, stable and dedicated professional Nursing team. The Unit Assistant is responsible for assisting the Nursing team by creating a homelike environment for our Residents. You will be supporting our Nursing team by providing services to assist Residents' basic care needs within your scope of practice. CNA course offered at the Barron Center to advance your position. The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maine's largest skilled nursing facility.

Requirements: Must complete and successfully become a C.N.A. within one year of completing the CNA course. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment physical exam. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.

CEBA Union position - Grade 3M - Salary starting at $15.00/hour, additionally any shift differentials that are applicable.
