This position was posted on 2024-07-31Position Title: Unit Director/SupervisorPosition Program/Building: Apartment Treatment ProgramBuilding Location and General Contact:2516 Grand AvenueBronx NY, 10468(718) ### ####(718) ### ##### of positions available for this job 1Description Overview:The Unit Director is directly responsible for the operation of a set unit/number of apartments providing care to severe and persistently mentally ill adults. The Unit Director is responsible for ensuring that the rehabilitative services are provided by staff utilizing person-centered principles of recovery; work entails some administration, direct supervision of three (3) Visiting Counselors, and case management/supervision of up to eighteen (18) clients. The Unit Director is responsible for ensuring that his/her unit is operated in compliance with the Office of Mental Health (OMH), New York State Office of Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) regulations, and in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and policies of Geel. The Unit Director reports directly to the Program Director.Paid time off: vacation (min 18 days), sick (12 days), personal (4 days); all major holidaysHealth insurance (includes dependent coverage) – coverage after 30 days, no salary contribution required for single enrollmentDental and vision coverage – no employee contribution required403(b) Plan – with 5% employer contribution, and employer matching contribution of 50% of salary reduction contribution, up to a maximum of 8% of compensation for the yearSupervision for individuals pursuing MSW degreeOpportunities for growth within the agency.Schedule Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Position requires on-call availability for emergency management and/or supervisory responsibilities.Hours of Operation: The office is open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm; Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturdays.Qualifications Education: This position requires that the individual fulfill the requirements of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP); Bachelor's degree in Human Services or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.Experience:MSW or Master's degree in a related field - and one year's related experienceBachelor's degree in Human Services - and three (3) years' related work experienceSupervisory experience is preferred.Physical Requirements/Limitations:Must be able to access apartments above the first floorMust be able to travel to different locations within the communityMust be able to demonstrate proper cleaning/apartment maintenance methods. Duties include conducting apartment visits, apartment maintenance tasks (e.g., demonstrating/teaching activities of daily living to clients, cleaning and prepping an apartment for new clients, etc.), conducting fire drills and safety inspections to residents located in scatter-site apartments in the community.Annualized at $67,777 plus benefits, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus.Actions Click here to apply to this position online:#J-18808-Ljbffr
