**Thomas Cuisine is hiring Patient Food Servers for Dameron Hospital!** The **Dameron Hospital Unit Host** is directly responsible for the patient dining experience by taking a patients order at their bedside, guiding the patient in selecting their meal from a restaurant-style menu, and personalizing the delivery of meals to guests throughout the hospital. The primary focus is to form relationships with patients and care providers in order to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. A professional image both in appearance and attitude in every guest interaction is the standard. The Unit Host has solid knowledge of all diets and exhibits a strong sense of urgency to ensure the timely, expedient, and accurate delivery of meals to our patients. **$15- $18/hr. DOE + full benefits** **Days and Shifts vary; 32+ hours per week** **Job duties include:**

* Competently and accurately process diets and nourishment order requests in a computer system to optimize efficiency and productivity

* Assist patients with placing meal and snack orders, taking into consideration any food allergies, cultural preferences, and CMC therapeutic diet restrictions (Diabetic, house, real, GI Bland, etc.)

* Assure accuracy and appropriateness of meal including food texture, fluid consistency, appearance, portion control, taste, and temperature. Able to make appropriate substitutions according to meal satisfaction standards.

* Deliver patient meals and nourishments according to AIDET guidelines. Assist patients with meal set-up and assure meal satisfaction.

* Remove soiled patient trays. Assure sanitation of meal carts and food service areas.

* Perform first in, first out. Accurately cover, label, and date all food items. Ensure all outdated items are discarded. Accurately document food temperatures.

* Maintain courteous, considerate, cooperative, and accurate communication with facility personnel, patients, and families.

* Attend department meetings and in-services

* Must be able to successfully complete criminal background checks (State and Federal) and drug screenings

* Must be willing to participate inpatient/resident satisfaction programs/activities

**Qualifications:**

* Skill to operate a variety of office machines quickly and efficiently (telephone, facsimile, and copier)

* Ability to access and enter data to form or entry functions on a computer

* Ability to write notes and brief instructions using correct spelling and grammar

* Deliver friendly and efficient customer service

* Speak clearly and present information orally

* Apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions

* High school diploma or GED required

* Six (6) months of previous experience with one-on-one customer service interaction.

* Previous computer data entry experience

* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand/walk frequently
