*Job Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the operations of our healthcare unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care while managing staff and resources effectively. This role requires a strong background in healthcare management, with a focus on home care and specialized patient needs. The Unit Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a positive environment for both patients and staff, promoting best practices in patient care.*Responsibilities** Supervise daily operations of the unit, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.* Manage and support nursing staff, providing guidance on patient care practices, including dementia care and medication administration.* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.* Oversee the administration of treatments and medications, ensuring accuracy in medication administration protocols.* Conduct physical examinations and assessments to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.* Ensure proper specimen collection processing in accordance with established protocols.* Maintain effective communication with patients' families regarding care plans and progress.* Provide training and mentorship to staff on best practices, including neonatal ventilator management and toddler care.* Monitor unit performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.*Skills** Must have an LPN or RN License in the state in NJ* Strong knowledge of home care practices, including dementia care techniques.* Familiarity with ophthalmology procedures and neonatal ventilator operation is preferred.* Proficient in medication administration protocols and specimen collection processing.* Ability to conduct thorough physical examinations and understand anatomy knowledge relevant to patient care.* Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is advantageous.* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and engage with patients.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Join our team as a Unit Manager where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care while leading a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $85,455.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Day shift* On call* Weekends as neededAbility to Relocate:* Allenwood, NJ 08720: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
