In this vital role, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing critical administrative support to our medical professionals.Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Support: Facilitate effective communication between physicians, medical staff, and patients. Support the coordination of patient care to ensure a positive experience and smooth process for everyone.
  • Confidentiality & Compliance: Ensure patient confidentiality at all times, following HIPAA guidelines. Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation, including narcotics logs, prescription filing, and other sensitive patient information.
  • Clinical Documentation: Assist in accurate and timely documentation of patient care in both paper charts and EMR, ensuring records are complete and compliant with company standards.
  • Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and ensure the timely processing of medical forms and reports. Schedule appointments, tests, and coordinate patient referrals as needed.
  • Coordination of Patient Services: Ensure the proper handling of medication requests and patient billing, including payments for in-house services and self-pay patients.
  • Resource Management: Keep track of medical supplies, medications, and equipment, ensuring that the unit is fully stocked and that resources are used efficiently.
  • Quality & Training Participation: Assist with department quality improvement activities and contribute to educational programs that enhance patient care and clinical staff competencies.
  • Additional Duties: Support other tasks as assigned, such as preparing patient charts, making copies of X-rays, and assisting with general office operations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of medical office or healthcare administrative experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to travel to surrounding clinics to provide support as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms during the workday.
  • Required finger dexterity and hand coordination for office and clinical tasks.
  • Occasional lifting of moderate weight (20-40 pounds).
  • Vision abilities required, including close, distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
