**Job Summary**

Greets people at the nurses' station and answers their questions or refers them to appropriate staff members. Transcribes medical orders and maintains patient charts. Performs unit-based, non-clinical duties related to the admission, discharge and transfer of patients. Organizes activities at the nurses' station. Issues visitor passes per established procedures and answers patient call lights. Accepts patient medications from pharmacy or tube station and gives directly to the charge nurse or assigned nurse.

**Job Requirements**

**Minimum Education Requirement:**

High School or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology required

**Minimum Experience Requirement:**

Office or hospital experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.

**Minimum License Requirement:**

Unit Secretary certification preferred. BLS required.

Pay Range:

$21.00 - $31.50
