Schedule: Part-Time 24 Hours, Day/Night Rotation. Every other weekend and holiday rotation
The Unit Service Technician provides a broad range of care and services to Patients, including but not to limited to EKG, phlebotomy, equipment cleaning, and stocking of rooms under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The Unit Service Technician performs a wide range of secretarial duties, including but not limited to organizing paper work, answering the phone, paging, and receiving of ICU patients into electronic medical record. The Unit Service Technician will perform 1:1 sitting when necessary. The Unit Service Technician of the ICU will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

Required qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or EMT license required.
* Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.
Additional qualifications:
* Experience as a medical technician or patient care assistant in preferred in an critical care and inpatient setting.
* Ability to work in a fast pace, physically taxing environment.
* Staff adheres to all I C.A.R.E. Standards.
* Ability to effectively speak, read and write using the English language.
* Ability to pass clinical competency, basic math and reading testing. Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements, in order to measure height and weight, intake and output and calorie counts.
* Physical ability to push, transfer, and pull heavy loads throughout assigned shift.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with nursing staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, and other hospital staff.
