This includes the transport of patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips and special equipment. Assists clinical staff with the transferring of patients to/from beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs safely.* Collects specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment and deliver items to appropriate destination.* Maintains equipment and report malfunctions immediately to the appropriate person.* Monitors surrounding environment for unsafe situations and equipment and reports issues to the appropriate person.* Prioritizes duties by demonstrating self-motivation, flexibility, and cooperation with changes in work volume, emergencies and staffing needs.* Works closely with the clinical staff to assure positive patient outcomes.* Maintains strict patient confidentiality* Retrieves equipment, delivers and maintenances stretchers, wheelchairs, infusion pumps and precaution carts.* Delivers medications from the pharmacy as routinely scheduled.* Performs the duties of a storeroom clerk as needed: answering phones, delivering supplies, processing incoming stock and coverage for after business hours to include holidays.Scheduled Hours: 37.5 hrs/wkWork Shift: Rotating, rotating weekend coverageEducation Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.Required Certifications: AHA Heart Saver AED or BLS.Benefits working at Anna Jaques Hospital:* Tuition Reimbursement* Career Development and Opportunities* Free On-Site Parking* Discounts/Savings on various businesses.* Health and Wellness activitiesApply today and learn more!As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
