Job Classification: Unit Testing Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Unit Testing Technician will be responsible for piping/electrical hookup and teardown, refrigerant charge/reclaim, operation of test loop and chiller, and other tasks determined by production needs. Additional troubleshooting and rework will be required. Unit Testing Technician will need to demonstrate the ability to learn the appropriate safety, electrical, and mechanical skills to perform the job. This position is Union Hourly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Reading connection diagrams and wiring schematics.
2. Proper setup and teardown of production chillers including piping, electrical, controls, and any additional instrumentation.
3. Able to determine normal operation from abnormal operation. Rework units as required by production needs. Continuous learning (safety, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
4. Will be required to lift up to 35 pounds
5. Receives work instructions from a member of management or a team lead.
6. Follow standard work, complete production and maintenance records and other documentation related to operations.
7. Participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
9. Meet and maintain all safety requirements.
10. Ability to work individually and in a small team

Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

Operations Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

1. Basic HVAC, electrical, and mechanical knowledge
2. Basic computer skills

Pay and Benefits:
Starting pay $26.51
Second Shift and Weekend Adders
Vacation - Upon completion of probationary period.
