The Behavioral Medicine Clinic is a tertiary behavioral medicine clinic with psychologists, psychiatrists, other prescribing providers, and trainees from psychology, psychiatry, pharmacy, and nursing coordinating mental health/behavioral health care for patients receiving medical care from MUSC's specialty care teams. We primarily serve adults in an outpatient capacity, though we are growing our inpatient consultation and pediatric/teen/young adult patients within our integrated services (e.g., transplant, bariatric surgery, pain, oncology).For more information about our academic and patient care programs:
Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will have a strong background and clinical expertise in health psychology; proficiency in providing empirically supported evaluation and treatment interventions; willingness to engage in quality improvement and research projects with Behavioral Medicine and Sickle Cell populations; interest in supervising trainees in psychology; and enthusiasm in identifying opportunities for program development.Clinical responsibilities will include pre-surgical evaluations, initial psychosocial assessments, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and post-surgical psychological care within the Behavioral Medicine Clinic and Sickle Cell Clinics.Minimum Requirements: Candidate will be a doctoral level, licensed Psychologist with a valid unrestricted license to practice in SC (or eligible for licensure in SC).
