Base salary: $58,500 - $62,500 (a location-based pay differential may be provided based on employees base of designation).

General Description
The University Relations Manager's primary responsibilities are to represent all SIT programs and business lines to faculty, staff, students, and mission-aligned organizations of key partner institutions and assist with the cultivation of new partnerships within their defined region of responsibility. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with key colleges, universities, and partner organizations, designing and executing strategies for engaging colleges, universities, and partner organizations, and implementing SIT's recruitment plan to increase enrollment in all SIT programs. The University Relations Manager will represent and promote SIT programs to prospective students, study abroad professionals, faculty at partner schools, and other stakeholders through campus visits, study abroad and graduate school fairs, presentations, virtual events, and conference attendance and serve as the primary liaison between assigned schools/partners and SIT through regular communication and engagement. The University Relations Manager will work collaboratively with SIT faculty and staff and SIT University Relations Managers in other regions.
University Relations Managers have a strong commitment to international education, social justice, diversity and inclusion, and interest in expanding educational opportunities to underrepresented groups. Strong interest in experiential education, cultural immersion and ethical community engagement is a plus. University Relations Managers have previous international education experience either at a college or university or with a provider organization
The University Relations Manager will promote the following programs: SIT Study Abroad, SIT Graduate Institute, SIT Custom and Signature Programs, Professional Engagement Programs, SIT First-Year, Return to Study Abroad, and other programs as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and implement, with the University Relations leadership team, a data-driven outreach and recruitment plan for colleges, universities, and mission-aligned groups and organizations within a region of responsibility with the goal of generating leads and to meet enrollment targets.
* Maintain existing relationships and cultivate new relationships with staff, faculty, and key stakeholders at colleges, universities, and mission-aligned groups and organizations.
* Visit a specified number of colleges, universities, and mission-aligned groups and organizations to promote SIT programs by participating in study abroad and graduate school fairs, meeting with stakeholders, and conducting creative outreach activities and events, both in-person and virtually.
* Prioritize accessibility for underrepresented student populations in outreach and recruitment planning.
* Serve as primary liaison to assigned institutions through frequent personal, phone, and email contact to ensure high-quality communications and customer service.
* Be knowledgeable of all SIT and World Learning activities to identify opportunities for enhanced institutional collaboration.
* Promote SIT/World Learning at national and regional professional association meetings and conferences.
* Deepen campus engagement through targeted presentations, predeparture meetings, alumni activities, undergraduate research events, curriculum integration, targeted scholarships, etc., with the goal of creating new champions in diverse campus and institutional offices.
* Track and analyze higher education and study abroad enrollment, policies, and trends within defined territory and report out to University Relations leadership team.
* Maintain accurate and robust data in Salesforce on assigned institutions, partner contacts, and outreach activities.
* Translating student and partner needs and their experience to refine and enhance the admissions process, improve policies and resources pertaining to student health, safety, well-being, and risk management, and to influence marketing strategies and collateral.
* Provide feedback to Dean of Faculty's Office and Program Development Committee on program development.
* Engage with Admissions and Marketing/Communications and other SIT departments to support the enrollment process, the student experience on program, and student needs post-program.
* Identify and nurture relationships with key alumni champions in assigned region and host in-person alumni events annually, with the goal of contributing to an engaged alumni community to impact word of mouth marketing.
* Participate in weekly team meetings virtually, and annual in-person workshops on SIT's campus in Vermont or at a program site.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Master's degree in related field preferred and three years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in international education or recruitment;
* Significant intercultural and international experience;
* Strong and proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion;
* Proven experience in marketing international programs;
* Professional presence and strong public speaking, communication, marketing and networking skills;
* An understanding of the current issues in higher education and the variety of administrative structures in and perspectives on study abroad at US institutions;
* Ability to represent SIT effectively and to work cooperatively with a variety of stakeholders: university and college faculty and staff, students, and alumni, and other stakeholders;
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use a variety of technologies and virtual platforms;
* Enthusiasm and willingness to travel frequently, up to twelve weeks per semester (some weeks may only require a one-day trip);
* Valid US driver's license and ability to travel independently;
* Occasional physical activities such as lifting boxes of 25-30 pounds, arranging chairs/tables in conference room settings.
* Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and remotely;
* Excellent organizational and administrative skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze and synthesize information.
