In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, products, and shipments in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that items are safely and accurately moved to and from designated areas, contributing to the efficient operations of the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks or containers, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Ensure all items are securely stacked and stored to prevent damage during transportation or storage.
- Inspect products for any damage or discrepancies and report issues to the supervisor or manager.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks (if certified).
- Assist in organizing and labeling items for easy identification and retrieval.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse to comply with safety and operational standards.
- Verify quantities and product descriptions against order forms or shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in inventory management and cycle counting as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar labor-intensive role (preferred).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
- Basic knowledge of using warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks (certification may be required).
- Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
