• Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized accredited college or university
• Certified as per SBEC in subject area taught to meet NCLB highly qualified criteria and must have passed EXCET exams

Compensation:

• BISD pays $4000 above the State Base Teacher Scale
• $500 for Masters paid in November
• $1000 Attendance Bonus ($500 possible in December & $500 possible in June)
• $225 paid toward TRS health insurance
• $10,000 Life Insurance Policy at no cost to employee
