Job Description:

We are searching for a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to assist in the care of patients and direct staff in supporting patient care. Reports to the Center Administrator and Lead Physician.Centers are open 7 days per week from 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday – Friday, and 8 AM to 5 PM on weekends. Full-time and part-time openings available, with 36-hour work weeks and full benefits.Salary: $60 per hour or above, negotiable.Qualifications:Valid Nurse Practitioner LicenseSome Urgent Care experience requiredCurrent CPR certificationDemonstrated understanding of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHAOutgoing, friendly demeanorTeam player with excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills, able to multi-task and work independently.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform triage of newly registered patientsDirect patients to available examination rooms and ensure rooms are set up based on patient initial complaintsCollect biological specimens and perform testing when requestedEnsure each room is cleaned after each patient encounterProvide wound care when indicatedPerform Electrocardiograms when indicatedWork with the center administrator to monitor medical suppliesCollaborate with nursing staff to call back patients to ensure patient satisfactionAssist physician with patient care when requestedSterilize all medical instruments after useInterview clinical staffEnsure center compliance with medical protocolsAssist medical director with the proper functioning of the laboratory, including running controls, proficiency testing, and troubleshooting instrument problemsSchedule nursing staff to ensure coverage during all hours of operationOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.Today, with more than 250 clinics and 800 in-network physicians caring for over 6 million patients a year, we are the nation's leading provider of urgent care, accessible primary care, and occupational medicine.#J-18808-Ljbffr
