Urgent Care Technician (Per Diem)
: Job Details :

* Participates as a frontline care giver to patients in the Urgent Care* Provides direct patient care and collects physical, psychological, and social patient data under the direction of the Nurse.* Assists in direct patient care according to the policy and procedures of the Urgent Care. This includes but is not limited to: Complete Intake to include vital signs, EKGs, Durable Medical Equipment application, Wound Care, Point of Care Testing, and Ear Irrigations.* Is familiar with equipment in the department and the location of all items.* Assesses personal and learning development needs. Maintains documentation of current and ongoing professional development activities. Regularly updates knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the ages of the patients served.* Orients other UC Techs to the unit as assigned by the manager.* Performs other work-related tasks and activities as assigned or requested by manager.* Assist with cleaning and preparation of exam rooms as needed to include stocking rooms and organization of incoming supplies.* May assist in patient registration, intake and answering phone calls at the center.Urgent Care Technician (P013) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:* Ability to read, write and communicate in English* Must meet at least one of the following qualifications:*

Currently licensed as a CNA in MA with at least one year of patient care experience* Currently licensed as an EMT or Paramedic in MA* Previous experience as a Medical Assistant* Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program OR Healthcare Track program with at least 2 clinical rotations* Has 1-3 years of direct patient care experience within an Urgent Care, Physician's Office, or Healthcare setting.* Current BLS Certification
