With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is looking to hire a U.S. Government Compliance Director who is responsible for leading the government compliance department to ensure the company's compliance with U.S. government contracting rules and regulations including federal, state and local municipalities. Provides strategic advice to the Director of Accounting on U.S. government compliance. Reviews, improves and develops effectiveness of processes to ensure compliance with U.S. government regulations. Ensure the company's compliance with FAR, CAS, accounting standards, internal policies and procedures.Role accountabilities:Oversee government accounting and compliance matters across the company including review of and negotiation of incurred cost statement, maintenance of CAS disclosure statements and submission.Company liaison for DCAA, DCMA, state and local municipalities.Support DCAA and other government or client audits and inquiries related to disclosure statements, incurred cost proposals, timekeeping policies, company government contracting policies, project support related to indirect rates (provisional and actual) and cost impacts. This may include developing company positions and preparing audit responses on compliance issues.Support special projects which may include aligning potential mergers and acquisitions to the company structure for compliance with FAR and CAS.Provide guidance to operations and other departments regarding compliance with U.S. government contracting regulations.Maintain, further develop, and continuously improve the compliance program and processes for U.S. government projects and contracts.Maintain oversight over indirect rate structure and computations including G&A, overhead and fringe rates on a company wide basis. Lead the government compliance department to ensure the company's compliance with government contracting rules and regulations.Provide strategic advice to the Director of Accounting / Controller, Business Area Presidents, and Business Area Operations on rate structures and overall U.S. government regulations and compliance. Act as a resource for compliance matters pertaining to U.S. government contracting.Monitor and maintain accounting and business system compliance in accordance with FAR requirements.Qualifications & Experience:Degree in accounting, finance or related disciplines.Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience with government contracts including federal, state and local municipalitiesMinimum of 8 years of management or leadership experienceExperience negotiating accounting issues with government agenciesExperience working with DCAA on compliance reviews and audits and incurred cost submissionsExperience supporting DOT State compliance submissions, reviews and inquiriesDetailed knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Demonstrated success in management or leadership positionKnowledge of internal controls related to FAR business system requirementsPreferred CPA or MBAWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
