Job Title: Quality Technician I Aerospace Manufacturing Lab Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of materials used in aerospace products. Here are the key duties and responsibilities: 1. Sample Handling and Testing: o Prepare and label metallographic mount for process verification Weld and Heat treatment. o Hardness check for heat treatment cycle verification o Material certification validation o Heat treats cycle validation. o Following internal processes for compliance verification / validation 2. Quality Assurance and Documentation: o Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory spaces. o Record and analyze test results against specifications. o Identify defects and recommend process improvements. o Prepare quality reports of material testing. 3. Collaboration and Communication: o Support regulatory (NADCAP, AS9100 etc), customer and internal audits. o Assist in developing inspection plans and writing procedures. o Train production personnel in testing methods. o Liaise with manufacturing and supply chain team regarding specifications. Aerospace lab technicians contribute to preventing defects, reducing waste, and improving overall quality and efficiency in the aerospace industry. Knowledge of material lab instrumentation hardness tester, microscopes, chemical sample preparation, and aerospace quality standards is essential.
