Our client is seeking a Transformer Assembler to join their team. As a Transformer Assembler, you will be part of the production team supporting the assembly of dry-type transformers. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Job Title: Transformer Assembler

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay Range: $22.00 per hour + $3.00 shift differential for this position

What's the Job?

• Build sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications involving complex and repetitive mechanics for dry-type transformers
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies
• Use cranes to pick up, and move transformers and materials
• Work with sheet metal to build transformer legs and additional components related to transformer assembly
• Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly
• Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product
• Perform point to point wiring during the assembling of Power Distribution Units
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals
• Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas
• Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Experience in production, packaging or construction
• Previous experience with standard operating procedures
• Previous experience with assembly, maintenance and/or repair
• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers
