Supervision Exercised: USDA Interns occasionallyGeneral Statement of Duties:The USDA Extension Technician, under the supervision of the USDA Extension Director, manages the daily operations of the BFCC Demonstration Farm, including the nursery, greenhouse, native plant projects, garden plots, rangeland, and forage crops. The agent supports agricultural programs, research, and educational initiatives in line with the goals of the USDA Extension Department and Blackfeet Community College (BFCC). Responsibilities include maintaining farm resources, assisting with research projects, leading workshops on horticulture, permaculture, and native plant propagation, and promoting community engagement and sustainability. The agent ensures compliance with BFCC standards, supports budget planning, and fosters educational outreach to the community.Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of Associates of Arts in Agribusiness, Ag Education, Bio-Technology, Environmental Science, or Natural Resources Plant Science required
