Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Used Material Handling Equipment Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sales of used material handling equipment, developing strategic plans to drive sales growth, and energizing a sales force through excellent communication and support. In addition, you will maintain appropriate inventory levels and grow both gross and net profits. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the material handling industry, excellent leadership qualities, and a strong customer-focused approach.

Essential Functions:

1. Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute strategic sales plans to improve market penetration, increase revenue, and

achieve sales targets for used material handling equipment.

2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage department support personnel, and motivate a team of sales representatives to

achieve individual, departmental and team sales goals. Provide training, coaching, and support to ensure high performance.

3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, understanding

their needs and providing tailored solutions. Act as a point of contact for key accounts and develop strategies to maximize

customer satisfaction and retention.

4. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential customers in the used equipment sector.

Analyze competitor activity and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

5. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain accurate records of used equipment availability, pricing,

and condition. Ensure that the sales team is informed about inventory changes and new acquisitions.

6. Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Conduct effective sales presentations to potential customers, addressing their needs and

concerns. Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales while ensuring profitability for the company.

7. Performance Tracking: Monitor sales metrics and report on team performance, providing insights to senior management. Adjust

strategies and goals based on data-driven analysis.

8. Financial Performance: Oversee strong revenue and profit growth through strategic use of Inventory (acquisition, state of

equipment, talent management, and equipment sales).

9. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments including marketing, service, and finance to ensure seamless operations and

enhance the customer experience.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in

material handling sales may be considered.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years specifically in the used material handling equipment

industry.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing successful sales strategies.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

In-depth knowledge of material handling equipment and market trends.

Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
