About the Role

HelixIntel is looking for a User Experience & User Interface Designer with a strong eye for design composition that is comfortable working collaboratively within the UI guidelines of an established brand while also helping to push the user experience into new territories. The ideal candidate should be an analytical and creative designer who can intuitively grasp user needs and solve problems. We expect you to have a strong portfolio of successful products both from a seamless UX and UI perspective.

What You Will Do

• Build, evolve, and maintain the design languages and style-guides across various products
• Understand and be committed to user-centric design, working closely with fellow UX designers to create a fluid, interactive product
• Collaborate with other product designers, engineers, and stakeholders to help define design vision and implement intuitive user interactions within our products
• Define, execute, and iterate on design patterns and interactions
• Create high fidelity mockups of elegant, usable, and consistent user interfaces based on business requirements
• Build functional/interactive prototypes to demonstrate and test concepts
• Provide usability recommendations based on user testing, analytics, and user behavior
• Collaborate with development teams to guide and support implementation of final designs
• Present and justify design thinking and rationale through key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholder
• Work collaboratively, with excellent communication and presentation skills

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's or master's Degree in design or a related field
• 3+ years of design experience across Web, iOS & Android
• Strong understanding and experience of UI, UX, interaction design, HCI and animation principles
• Expertise with: Industry standard wireframing and prototyping tools. Familiarity with Figma, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, and other web frameworks (e.g., Vue, React)
• Working knowledge of Android / iOS design guidelines
• Extreme attention to details and consistency
• Data driven: Must be able to comfortable analyze data and usage patterns to generate insights on how to best improve the user experience
• Passionate about solving complex problems with simple, easy-to-use solutions
• Result oriented, optimistic, self-motivated, and passionate
• Committed to meeting deadlines and skilled at handling multiple projects simultaneously

Hiring

The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skillset, education, and/or certifications.

Location

HelixIntel adds talent for in-office, hybrid, and remote roles. This role allows for remote work with occasional travel to client meetings and team gatherings. Our company is based in Buffalo, NY.
